What is .ME all about?

At the end of the Landrush period, the applications will be examined by the me registry. If there is only one application for a domain name, the domain name will be awarded to that applicant. If two or more parties apply for a domain name, those parties will enter an auction for the domain name. The domain name will be allocated to the auction winner.

If you are not successful in obtaining your domain name during the Landrush stage and through the auction, you are entitled a full refund of credit back to your MYaeserver account, which can be used to purchase any service from us.

During the landrush stage, all .ME domain name applications will be set for fixed term of two years. This fixed registration term will change once the Open Registration period commences.

Important Dates and Information

Information:

Any application submitted to us prior before June 6 will be submitted to the registry. The registry will then work on the examination of the domain names and ownerships. The landrush period is expected to begin on June 6 2008.

Requirements:

As per the .me registry's mandate:

No specific requirements from the applicants (no country, nationality restrictions)
Anyone is eligible, and no trademarks are required.
Domain names must be registered for minimum of 2 years period.
$65 includes the one year registration as well as pre-application cost.
